The purpose of the project is the establishment of a “Government Cloud”, which will provide IaaS – Infrastructure service to public bodies, meaning that the obsolete technology and the machine room capacities ensuring an inappropriate level of operating safety will be replaced by machine rooms with high quality operating environment and providing efficient operating services.

The project will create new data center capacity in several premises that will enable the operation of the new governmental systems, the establishment of a server park affected by cloud-based operation, furthermore, the replacement of some existing machine rooms in a substandard condition. These will provide calculating capacities that could make the procurement of hardware unnecessary for a significant part of subsequent governmental projects, since infrastructure as a service (IaaS) will be implemented in the governmental cloud.
