Strategic Goals

To reduce the performance hurdle of I/O in virtualizations. To improve the bottleneck of I/O. Despite wide-spread adoption of HPC and big data, they feature I/O intensive workloads and cannot utilize the benefits of virtual infrastructure completely. Performance for I/O and network is a crucial requirement for HPC, hindering adoption of virtualization.

Solutions Developed / Used

An improvement of virtual I/O in KVM, using additional virtio expertise, integrated with the light-weight operating system OSv and with enhanced Security. Creating lean guest operating system OSv, and superfast hypervisor SuperKVM.
